Overview

HEXORA ("we", "us", or "our") is a block puzzle game developed by an independent developer. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use our app, how it is used, and the choices you have.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not require account registration. Core gameplay works fully offline.

Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum data necessary to operate the app's features:

• Player name & anonymous player ID — randomly generated on first launch, stored locally on your device and synced to our leaderboard database if you submit a score. You can change your player name in Settings at any time.
• Game scores and statistics — high score, lines cleared, total moves. Submitted to global leaderboards only when you achieve a new personal best.
• FCM push token — a device token generated by Firebase Cloud Messaging, used solely to deliver optional in-app notifications (e.g. daily reminders). Stored in our Firebase database and never shared with third parties.
• Anonymous gameplay analytics — events such as game start, game over, and lines cleared. These contain no personally identifiable information.

Third-Party Services

HEXORA uses the following third-party services. Each operates under its own privacy policy:

• Google AdMob — displays advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalization, subject to your consent (ATT on iOS, GDPR consent prompt on Android/EU).

How We Use Your Data

• Display your name and score on global and weekly leaderboards
• Send optional push notifications (daily reminders, events)
• Improve gameplay balance through anonymous, aggregated analytics
• Show advertisements to support free access to the game

Data Storage & Retention

Game progress and settings are stored locally on your device using standard iOS/Android storage. Leaderboard entries and push tokens are stored in Google Firebase servers located in the United States.

Weekly leaderboard data is automatically deleted after two weeks. All-time leaderboard entries are retained as long as the game is active. You may request deletion of your leaderboard data at any time by contacting us.

Children's Privacy

HEXORA is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe your child has provided personal data through our app, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

For users in the EU/EEA, GDPR requirements regarding minors under 16 apply. AdMob is configured to serve non-personalized ads where required by law.

Your Rights & Choices

• Ad personalization: Opt out via device settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID).
• Push notifications: Disable anytime in your device's notification settings for HEXORA.
• Leaderboard data: Contact us to request removal of your anonymous player ID and scores from our database.
• Analytics: Anonymous analytics contain no personal information and cannot be individually identified or deleted.

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights under GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, and data portability. Contact us to exercise these rights.

Data Security

All data transmitted between your device and our servers uses encrypted HTTPS connections. Firebase services are protected with server-side security rules. We do not store passwords, payment information, or sensitive personal identifiers.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Continued use of HEXORA after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
